When an attic area is restricted, air can not probably circulate. This can trap moist air causing mold to grow and even shorten the lifetime of the shingles. We had to correct the venting in this home and replace portions of the roof deck. You can see the mold on the roof deck we pull out. We also replaced the insulation. We installed Owens Corning Duration FLEX in the color Stormcloud.
